“We Do Not Cease to Pray for Your” - Colossians 1: 3-12s

In today’s world, people would text and email more than pray. I was reading today’s devotional from Our Daily Bread and I am inspired to pray more and text less, thanks to its passages.  David McCasland wrote that “this ongoing digital conversation offers a remarkable illustration of what prayer could and should be like for every follower of Christ.”

In Colossians 1:3-12, Paul writes, “we do not cease to pray for you.” Similarly, we should not stop praying for others. I believe a pray dedicated for someone is a lot powerful, though we should continue to pray for ourselves too.  As what 1 Thess. 5: 17 says, “Pray without ceasing.” So, from the very moment we wake up until the time we close our eyes to sleep, let us talk to God, let us commune with Him, let us dedicate our time to tell Him what we feel and what we ask for.

Frank Laubach, a noted missionary believes that prayer is the most powerful force in the world. Miracles are brought to life when our prayers are fervent enough to move mountains, tame tsunamis, or even mysteriously seal leaking nuclear reactors!

“My part is to live in this hour in continuous inner conversation with God and in perfect responsiveness to His will,” says Lauback.

Let us pray without ceasing! Let us make praying and prayer a part of our life.

I am at Ease through Prayer

March 15 – despite the threats of radiation, tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, turmoil, and a pocket that’s nearing emptiness, I am at ease. I rejoice, thanks to God’s calming presence at this passage from the Bible:

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” – Philippians 4: 6 (NIV)
