Inspiring Quotes for Sunday

Here's a bunch of quotes to inspire and rejuvenate your Sunday.

forgiveness
On forgiveness: sometimes, we make terrible mistakes. So say sorry. Forgive and be forgiven. It doesn't hurt, but eventually, you'll feel a surge of relief filling your heart.

Happy Birthday, Lolo!

My grand father, George... ever sweet
with her wife, my grandmother, Lilian.
I always thank the Lord for giving me the chance to be reared, raised, and cared by a man as staunch, strong-willed and morally upright as my grand father. On his 81st year, I continue to rejoice and thank God for extending his life many times over. Frail and bent by old age, his spirit is still as sprite as he ever is. Happy 81st birthday, George Villariza Acevedo!

Morning walks and meanderings

My early morning walk today brings me to the Iloilo City Esplanade. I didn't walk from Roxas to Iloilo, dear folks. I arrived here late afternoon yesterday and I’m trying to build this habit of walking early in the morning before I start my day. I have this thought of taking different routes every morning and capturing something nice and memorable. For the past three days, I’ve been walking along Legaspi Street straight to the Roxas City Plaza.

Snippets of thoughts and morsels of wisdom

This is what I've been telling myself
(thoughts courtesy of livelifehappy.com).

It’s already February and I haven’t made my first post for New Year until now… Anyway, better late than never…2012 ended well and fine. I had one of the happiest holidays with my family. My cousins came home all the way from Canada to be with us for Christmas and New Year. It was a nice relief for a rather tumultuous 2012. Financial troubles and worries about my grandparents’ failing health had marred last year. But at the end of it, as the bells tolled and the fireworks began painting the darkness of the evening sky signifying the end of a tumultuous 2012, I felt fine. I felt the New Year would be something that I should look forward to.
