In celebration of the Museum and Galleries Month this October, Ang Panublion Museum is partnering with the Roxas City Government, Gerry Roxas Foundation and Eyecan Creatives, to bring you the DIHON Webinar Series. This is a program that offers online art talk and demonstrations for budding visual artists and arts enthusiasts.
An array of resource speakers with different arts expertise will lay the foundation of their chosen medium, show how it is applied to create artworks, and share their artistic journey. L. Marius "Maru" Alayon will teach character design, while Arnie "Eru" Villarta with demonstrate digital portraiture. Meanwhile, June Ray "Juraca" Canonicato will teach the participants about digital mural design. Celvic Dinaalcala will offer artists and enthuasiasts with insights on acrylic portraiture.
This webinar is for free and is available via Zoom. This four-part program runs on October 9, 16, 23, and 30, 2020, from 5PM until 7PM. The Museums and Galleries Month (MGM) is observed every month of October by virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 798, s. 1991. It underscores the importance of arousing national consciousness and pride in our rich Filipino culture and heritage embodying the aspirations of the nation, expressed in all media of art as well as historical and religious artifacts. This year’s MGM theme is “Engaging Exhibitions for Emerging Generations” and highlights the role of museums and galleries in shaping the future as they engage new audiences.
